The Mini / Apollo Bay

The Forest Creek Mini, or Mini, is designed for short-term visitors - it's simple and snug!

The Mini includes a single bench kitchenette, bathroom, plus a composting toilet, and an open-plan lounge and bedroom. The bed area comes with three options: a hoist bed with a sunken lounge below or a built-in bed.

This Forest Creek Mini was built for exhibition at the 2023 Bendigo Sustainability Festival and the 2023 Sustainable Hepburn Day Out. In the spirit of these events, this Tiny House on Wheels was built from materials we had left over from our previous builds or materials salvaged from other projects. This included panels of OSB Italian Poplar Ply (you either love it or hate it! - we love it!), Spanish tiles, and standard matte black fittings finished off with green laminate cabinetry and black formply flooring.

Three black aluminium windows were purchased brand new and positioned to promote views and air flow, while a glass sliding door further promoted airflow and light.

It's an eclectic mish-mash and is just one example of how small spaces can still pack a punch!

This Tiny House on Wheels made its way from Daylesford to Castlemaine to Bendigo in one weekend, before heading to its new home in Apollo Bay.

It fits right in amdist its quiet place among the gums, overlooking the hinterland and ocean in Victoria's south-west.
